3 Unique Ways to Incorporate a Company Pin in Employee Uniforms

Most workplaces benefit from handing out uniforms to their employees, and pins are a popular component in those uniforms. They are small and cheap, but they are also easy to identify in spite of their size. They can also be added to existing clothes with ease, which makes it much easier to provide uniforms or keep some design elements intact for employees who need to change their clothes frequently. Any uniform that includes a pin should be designed in order to maximize the natural advantages that they offer, and there are quite a few ways to do so.

1- In a Cap

The portability of pins makes them a great choice for environments where people wear simple uniforms, such as for employees that provide their own work clothes in specific colors. These uniforms tend to be relatively simple, and keeping the cost low is a major concern. A casual look is usually best in these cases. Since pins often resemble jewelry, that can be hard to manage, but it can be done. The easiest way to do it is to include a casual baseball cap or similar hat in the uniform, so that the employees can wear their pin just above the brim.

This offers a few advantages over other locations. It is an unusual choice, so it will draw more attention than wearing the pin in other areas. The classic lapel pin is the best choice for people who work in formal environments, especially those who wear suits on a daily basis. It is the traditional place for wearing pins on formal outfits, so it will not look out of place in environments where people are expected to dress according to traditional dress codes.

The pins that are worn in this way should be designed to look good with formal clothing. That usually means keeping to an understated design that does not have bright colors. That seems sound in principle, but research does not support it. Instead, recent research indicates that it is best to use pins or other awards to recognize specific achievements. That makes people feel as though their work is appreciated and gives them something to strive towards. At a practical level, handing out pins to recognize qualifications or achievements makes it easy to identify the people who know how to handle specific situations at a glance.
